The Postal History of Great Britain and Ireland by RM Willcocks

Brief Description

A summarised catalogue of the postal history and postal marks of Great Britain (to include England, Scotland and Wales) and Ireland from the first Bishop Mark of 1661 to circa 1840.

Published in several editions from 1972 to 1981 this is an excellent and recommended reference for collectors interested in the pre-adhesive postal marking of GB and Ireland. The detailed information contained within provides a baseline on which to build a general collection or gain an understanding of a specialisation. The catalogue is well written, easy to understand and very well illustrated.
