The aims of the Transvaal club is to study and promote the Stamps, Postal History, Postcards, Revenue documents and Post Office practises of the Transvaal / South African Republic which includes the New Republic, Stellaland, Goshen, Pietersburg and early Swaziland.

The study circle have an online members forum and a quarterly Journal entitled “The Transvaal Philatelist”. The website is updated on a regular basis and offers an online searchable index to all articles published in the journal over their 50 year history alongside a separate list of recent published articles sorted by journal issue.
- Founded on 13th November 1965, the Study Circle is enjoying over Fifty Years of shared philatelic research.
The study group arrange formal meetings usually at the spring and autumn London UK, Stampex shows.
